Papers and videos here explain open problems listed in the AIM GitHub repository, their mathematics and applications, including partial results and later resolutions. Each accepted entry credits its authors, cites the problem record and sources, and links to the paper or video.
A paper can focus entirely on the mathematics behind an application. A new proof or a solved conjecture is not required.
Library submissions are open to everyone throughout the year, including after the competition deadline.
A problem can have several explanations. Different examples, applications and intended audiences can each justify a separate account. Each submission is reviewed on its own merits, with no priority for being first to explain or prove a conjecture.

Papers
We welcome papers for review and publication in the library.
Each paper or video gets a library page with its title, authors, intended audience, summary, AIM problem ID, source citations, review scope and a link to the paper or video. Video entries also include a transcript.
Authors approve the public version and credit before publication.
Eligible problems
The library accepts explanations of entries already in the AIM collection, including Open, Partially resolved, Solution claimed, Solved, Lean verified, Needs verification and Withdrawn records. You do not need to have solved the problem or written an original proof. For an open entry, explain the exact target, application or significance, known cases and what remains open. Cite the problem record and the sources you rely on; you receive credit for your explanatory work.
Propose new open problems in applied mathematics through the AIM GitHub repository, following its contribution guidelines. Corrections and additional solutions can be submitted there too.
